Living Well With Chronic Pain
Chronic Pain Self-Management is a group class designed to help participants live a healthy life with chronic pain by managing their symptoms. This program teaches new strategies that will give participants the confidence, motivation, and skills needed to manage living with chronic pain. Classes are highly participative, where mutual support and success build the participants' confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain active and fulfilling lives.

• Find useful ways to deal with problems such as being frustrated, tired, helpless, and feeling alone
• Exercise to maintain and improve strength, flexibility, and endurance
• Use of medications and evaluation of new treatments
• Find ways to pace activity and improve sleep
• Learn how foods you eat affect your pain
• Talking with family, friends, and health care workers to help meet your needs
• Set your own goals and make a step-by-step plan to improve your health and your life
Participants will meet ONLINE / virtually via Zoom weekly for two and a half hour sessions for six consecutive weeks. There is no charge to attend. We will hold a "session 0" where participants can meet one another, practice using Zoom, and receive support for technical challenges. This session 0 will be held on Tuesday, January 4th at 2:00PM. Registered participants will receive the Zoom link for the session 0 and each class session via email.
