New Program: Diabetes Prevention for People Taking GLP-1s
07/31/2026

We are excited to announce the launch of our newest Juniper class, Diabetes Prevention Program: Lifestyle Change Support for GLP-1s, a specialized program designed for individuals using GLP-1 medications who want to build sustainable habits for long-term health and weight management.
As interest in GLP-1 medications continues to grow, more people are discovering their effectiveness in supporting weight loss and improving overall health. While these medications can be powerful tools, experts agree that lasting success often depends on combining medication with healthy lifestyle behaviors, including nutrition, physical activity, stress management and ongoing support.
That’s where Juniper’s new Diabetes Prevention Program for GLP-1s can help.
The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is one of the most widely recognized evidence-based lifestyle intervention programs in the country. Originally developed to help individuals at risk for type 2 diabetes make meaningful lifestyle changes, the program focuses on healthy eating, increased physical activity, weight management, and behavior change strategies.
Research has shown that participants who make sustainable lifestyle improvements can significantly reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes while also experiencing benefits such as improved energy, better cardiovascular health, and enhanced overall well-being.
The Juniper Diabetes Prevention Program for GLP-1s adapts these proven principles for people who are currently taking GLP-1 medications. The program recognizes that medication alone is not always enough to create lasting change and that participants may have unique questions and challenges as they navigate their weight-loss journey.
Many individuals begin a GLP-1 medication with specific weight-loss goals in mind. However, maintaining progress over time requires more than a prescription. Developing sustainable habits can help participants maximize the benefits of their medication while building a foundation for lifelong wellness.
Participants in the program will learn how to:
The program also addresses common concerns individuals may face while using GLP-1 medications, including maintaining motivation, establishing healthy eating patterns, navigating lifestyle changes and preparing for long-term weight management.
One of the most valuable aspects of the Juniper program is the opportunity to connect with others who share similar goals and experiences. Lifestyle changes can be challenging, and having support from peers and trained coaches can make a meaningful difference.
Participants benefit from a structured environment that encourages accountability, celebrates progress, and provides practical tools they can use in everyday life. By combining education, support, and evidence-based behavior change strategies, the program helps individuals build confidence and stay focused on their long-term health goals.
Whether you’re just beginning a GLP-1 medication or looking to strengthen your long-term success, this new program offers the education, tools, and support needed to help you thrive every step of the way.
