Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance - Beginner
Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance (TJQMBB) is an evidence-based fall prevention program designed for older adults developed by Fuzhong Li, Ph.D., Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute. TJQMBB represents a substantive enhancement of traditional Tai Ji Quan as it transforms martial arts movements into a therapeutic regimen aimed at improving postural stability, awareness and mindful control of body positioning, functional walking, movement symmetry and coordination, range of motion around the ankle and hip joints and lower - extremity muscle strength.

Notes
This class is the 1st 12 weeks of Tai Ji Quan Moving for Better Balance. No prior experience is needed in order to register.
For this at-home class, you will need a hard chair (like a folding chair or dining room chair) without arms or wheels.

Also, a clear space in your home that you can safely move around without obstacles that may be a fall hazard. A suggested space of 3ft X 5-6ft is needed.
A $5 donation per class is suggested. At our first meeting, I will provide options for sending payments. All are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
Participants will receive and email 1-2 days prior to our first session. This will include the Zoom link needed to access our classroom as well as a link to the forms which need to be completed PRIOR TO CLASS - NO EXCEPTIONS SORRY.
Class #1 is a time to introduce ourselves and give a chance to get acquainted with using Zoom before we begin the class curriculum.
