Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance (TJQMBB) is an evidence-based fall prevention program designed for older adults developed by Fuzhong Li, Ph.D., Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute. TJQMBB represents a substantive enhancement of traditional Tai Ji Quan as it transforms martial arts movements into a therapeutic regimen aimed at improving postural stability, awareness and mindful control of body positioning, functional walking, movement symmetry and coordination, range of motion around the ankle and hip joints and lower - extremity muscle strength.
This program includes 24 sessions. Please note we will NOT meet the following dates:
June 25
June 27
July 2
July 4
Aug 1
Aug 6
Each session builds upon what is learned in the previous session. Please consider this class if you can make most or all of the sessions. It is ok to miss a session here or there, but if you anticipate being absent for a lot of the sessions, please talk to Bella or Shonette prior to registering. Thank you.

The program helps you make lasting changes, such as eating healthier, adding physical activity into your daily routine, and reducing stress.
The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) classes are typically covered by insurance and are provided at no cost. However, individuals lacking insurance coverage are required to pay a nominal fee of $50 to cover material expenses. It is important to note that some insurance plans may not include coverage for DPP classes.
