Lakeview Hospital offers free parking and easy access to the classroom. Any weather concerns will be addressed at the time of class. Class sessions may be canceled due to inclement weather. For registration questions you may contact Juniper directly at 1-855-215-2174 or Shonette Micco at 651-254-3564. Please do not mail any payments at time of registration. Tuition is collected on the first day of class. Checks may be made out to Regions Hospital. Cash is accepted. We do not take credit card payments. Thank you for your interest!

Participants must have completed the 1st 12 weeks of the Tai Ji Quan Moving for Better Balance class before the start of this session. Please wear comfortable clothing, shoes that are well-fitting and comfortable (not flip flops or heels). Bring a water bottle (optional). A chair without wheels is needed. Suggested class cost is $5/person per class. (24 classes per session.) Participants can pay what they are able. About the instructor: Jessica Karpinske is the owner of Rooted In Wellness LLC in the Duluth area. She works with individuals and small groups, providing health coaching and personal training sessions, private and group yoga classes with an overall focus on feeling good in your skin, improving health and wellness at the root level and tapping into a sense of self-love. Jessica loves working with clients to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle that provides a foundation for a long life free of dis-ease. Jessica has been teaching this Tai Ji program since 2016. She maintains a consistent group of advanced Tai Ji participants and also enjoys leading new classes.

This class is designed for anyone looking to enhance their balance, strength, and coordination. No prior experience with Tai Ji is necessary. The class includes both seated and standing exercises, with no need to transition to and from the floor. What to Bring and Wear: Wear comfortable clothing. Choose well-fitting, supportive shoes (no flip-flops or heels). Bring a water bottle if desired. Use a stable chair without wheels (e.g., a folding chair). Class Details: Suggested cost: $5 per person, per class (24 classes per session). Participants are welcome to pay what they can. Those with MSHO insurance (Minnesota Senior Health Options health plan) do not need to make a donation.
